The Visual Politics of Wars

This MA offers an alternative, critical and global perspective to war studies. With the victory of Octavian at the Battle of Actium in 31 BC, Rome changed from being a Republic to an autocracy. The thirty years leading up to what constituted a fundamental transformation of the Roman political system are the focus of this course. The topics you study are closely connected to the political changes being felt around the world today.

I’m still digesting the content, but my big gripe so far is with the opaque and unnecessarily difficult writing style. Too many failures of reference compounded by a lack of punctuation mean that I have to read too many sentences more than once.
